Ekosem-Agrar AG: Management Board member Wolfgang Bläsi to leave at the turn of the year

Walldorf, 28 July 2022 – The Supervisory Board of Ekosem-Agrar AG and Wolfgang Bläsi have today mutually agreed that Mr Bläsi will step down as a member of the Management Board (CFO) of Ekosem-Agrar AG for personal reasons on 31 December 2022.

With his experience, he has been an important pillar for the company, particularly in the past very challenging months, and has ensured the continued financing of business operations in a difficult market environment. We regret his departure, but are pleased that he will support the Group in the future as a consultant on important topics."
Wolfgang Bläsi was Managing Director (CFO) of Ekosem-Agrar GmbH from December 2011 to October 2016 and a member of the Advisory Board from October 2016 to July 2018. With the change in legal form to a stock corporation, he became a member of the Management Board in August 2018 and has since acted as CFO. Wolfgang Bläsi will continue to be closely associated with Ekosem-Agrar AG and will work as a consultant for the company starting next year. The Supervisory Board will fill the position in a timely manner.
Ekosem-Agrar AG, Walldorf, is the German holding company of the Ekoniva Group, one of Russia's largest agricultural companies. With a herd of almost 220,000 cattle (including over 110,000 dairy cows) and a milk output of around 3,200 tons of raw milk per day, the company is the country's largest milk producer. The Group controls an agricultural area of approximately 630,000 hectares and is also one of Russia's leading seed producers. The founder and CEO of the company is Stefan Dürr, who has been active in Russian agriculture since the late 1980s and has played a key role in its modernization over the past three decades. In 2009, he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit for his services to the German-Russian agricultural dialogue. The group of companies has around 12,000 employees in nine administrative regions in Russia. Ekosem-Agrar generated operating revenue of €565 million and adjusted EBITDA of €167 million in fiscal 2019.
