Image: Peter Hauk presents the award to Stefan Dürr.Stefan Dürr has been awarded a gold state medal for his exceptional contributions to establishing and strengthening Russian-German relations in agriculture. He received the award from Peter Hauk, German Minister of Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection, personally at the Stuttgart Main Agricultural Festival that took place on 5 September.
The medal is awarded every four years and is granted to people who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their work in the agricultural and food sectors, rural affairs and forestry.
In his speech Minister Hauk, who earlier this year visited EkoNiva’s enterprises in Russia, spoke of Dürr’s achievements in promoting German-Russian cooperation: “Your engagement in establishing and improving German-Russian relations in agriculture is impressive and exceptional”, he said.
