On 29 November, the Otto Wolf von Amerongen Prize for outstanding performances of medium-sized companies was awarded at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Moscow. This year, Ekosem-Agrar AG received the prize for entrepreneurial achievements as a German medium-sized company in Russia.

One of the patrons, Prof. Yevgeny Yassin, scientific director of the University of Economic Sciences and former Russian Minister of Economics, presented the prize to Ekaterina Dürr and Annamaria Tzeller, the daughters of company founder Stefan Dürr. Ms. Dürr thanked the company's more than 9,000 employees, who are an integral part of the company's success.

For the fifth time already, the German-Russian SME Award will be presented to medium-sized German and Russian companies and honors not only entrepreneurial activities but also pioneering achievements in the respective target markets. The prize is bestowed in honour of the German entrepreneur Otto Wolff von Amerongen (1918-2007), who was a key figure in German-Soviet and later German-Russian economic relations.
